Bucolic Bombshells is an African luxury fashion brand. The company was started in 2010 by Ghanaian-American designer Eugenia Asante.
The word Bucolic refers to rural life; and since rural life is typically associated with tradition and culture, she strategically chose the name to share the rich culture and traditions from which she grew up with.

With the God-given talent for design and good education, Eugenia set out to create this brand by first getting in the industry and learning a lot about how it operates. Bucolic presented its first women’s collection in 2011 in Abuja and won second place in a high profile competition organized by Trendy Culture.

The prints that Bucolic uses are mostly from Ghana and most of the prints used are valuable prints like Vlisco Holland Dutch wax, French lace, Swiss lace and others. To keep the authenticity and luxury of the brand, Bucolic produces only 12 pieces for each of its gown designs and only 24 pieces each for all other designs. Eugenia designs many of the prints herself and makes sure each design enforces what the brand represents: elegance, style, and luxury engulfed in the rich African heritage.

Bucolic has been giving back to its community ever since its inception. It participated in Yesliberia (www.yesliberia) which helps raise money for under privileged children.

Fashion in Africa is very essential for women in luring African men to like them. Usually, African men come back home from farms very tired and unless their women are wearing the type of clothing that is really attractive, the men don’t pay them no mind. Not even when they’ve prepared the best jollof rice or even Ghana’s favorite fufu and palm nut soup. Bucolic is the place to shop if you’re looking for the clothing that will lure him after he comes back from the farm so he doesn’t leave you cold all by yourself.
